Curriculum
Committee for Children created the Steps to Respect Program in 1986, an early bullying prevention program. The program was updated to integrate bulling prevention with their core Second Step Program to maximize easy and effective implementation.
I was brought on the project after its first printing to bring a modern look to the kindergarten through grade 3 curriculum packaging. My responsibilities included re-designing the covers, DVD face art, creating an additional poster, and art directing illustrations for all new pieces. This work extended to include Grades 4 and 5 when those program levels were developed.
My art direction and design established the new look and feel of the packaging that carried through the entire Second Step Suite that includes the Second Step Program, the Bullying Prevention Program, and the Child Protection Unit.
